Why United - Where Hope Yields
Why United is a combination of two charitable
organisations, Assist from Denmark,
www.assist-denmark, and the Sonshine Club Kenya Project based in Northern Ireland, www.sckp.co.uk. All two groups have been working in Kenya within the Tharaka area
mainly, but their work spreads to Chuka and Meru . We have been working in the same regions of Kenya for several years now
and we have been both doing similar work, with similar aims and vision.
Why
United is based on a Christian foundation and builds on the understanding that all people
are equal. Why United will provide help and assistance to people regardless of race, sex, religion and social status.

Our
Projects
Both groups to date, have been
involved in a Child Sponsorship program, and at present there is approximately 300 children being sponsored. Our aim
is to bring hope to these children, their families and the community. The children receive, school uniforms and
school supplies, mattresses, mosquitos nets, food, and basic medical care.
